Palmeiropolis Projects
- Project Size: 9,306 ha over 9 Mineral Rights
- Project Location: Tocantins state, Central Brazil
- Commodities: Lithium
Geology: The projects are in the Paleoproterozoic rocks of the Group Serra da Mesa. The Mesa Group is composed of schist, dolomites, quartzite, and marl, with a medium-grade metamorphism; these rocks were intruded by Neoproterozoic age granites and pegmatites.
Structurally the rocks have a large history and strong deformation; pegmatite and granites are hosted mainly in the axis of large, overturned anticlines and synclines.
Confirmed Mineralization: Palmeropolis initial trenches (max 4m deep) returned up to 6m at 1.0% Li2O and 32m at 0.4% Li2O at surface. There is also visible spodumene and lithium micas available outcropping throughout the area with multiple grab samples north of 3% Li2O.
